PLEASE HELP TO SHARE THIS INFORMATION!!!!!!!

Dear all, our friends Arthurs Movsisyan’s and Anna Oganesyan’s 16 year old son Mikael Movsisyan is in a very serious condition awaiting brain surgery, after being rushed to hospital on Monday 29th June 2009. I am writing this letter to ask if you could help me raise the necessary funds to assist with the ever-increasing medical costs associated with his illness.

The doctors are still conducting tests in order to come up with the correct treatment for Mikael, who is paralyzed, with limited speech and deteriorating vision. He has been diagnosed with an aneurysm. An aneurysm (or aneurism) is an abnormal bulge in the wall of a blood vessel which, if it ruptures, can cause death or disability. He has a giant intracavernous aneurysm of the right carotid artery which involves a very delicate operation. If the operation is a success, then there is still a long recovery road ahead of him if he is to regain his mobility and speech. The important thing is that there is hope, which we hang on to, and we pray to God for Mikael’s recovery.

Just a week ago, Mikael was a very healthy, active, cheerful, young man. However, he came home from school with a headache, and overnight his life was turned upside down. He could not be treated in his home town in Mauritius and had to be transported to a hospital in Pretoria, South Africa. The cost of medical services there is very high. It included: transportation, all medical procedures, numerous tests, physiotherapy, the surgery and the recovery procedures (about 100.000 $). Mikael's parents do not have that amount of money, but they had to make a decision to take their son to a place which could give him a chance of survival. In this situation, your child’s health is a priority; even though they had to leave their younger son with neighbors in Mauritius.

We are raising funds to help Mikael through this tough and devastating time in his life. So please, can you donate generously to help Mikael in his recovery so that he can have a chance to embrace life again.
